Download free Borland C++ 5.5 compiler
The Borland Corporation offers a C++ compiler to be downloaded without any costs from their Internet pages. The compiler is a so-called command line compiler that can be operated in a command prompt (MS-DOS) window. The compiler is called C++ Builder Compiler on Borland's pages. To get the compiler, you first have to go to the pages of Borland Corporation (use the link below), and become a member of the Borland Developer Network. You have to fill out a form by using the instructions given on the Borland's pages. Be carerul to select an exotic login name that does not clash with other names. When you have become a member in the Borland Developer Network, you may download a file named freecommandLinetools.exe which contains the C++ compiler and other useful programming tools. Follow the instructions given in the book to install the compiler on your computer.
These pages support the readers of Kari Laitinen's books about computer programming. Those books have helped many students who have found conventional programming books too difficult to understand.
