... it is appreciated if you can donate something to help keep naturalprogramming.com alive and existing.
My name is Kari Laitinen. I created this site more than 20 years ago to provide information for the readers of my books about the basics of computer programming.
Later on I have added here many simple computer programs that are not presented in my books.
A central idea in creating the example programs has been that the same programs are written with different programming languages. For example, if you see a program named Game.java, you can also find the same program written with other languages in other files such as Game.c, Game.cpp, Game.cs, Game.py, Game.swift, and Game.kt.
Although we are now living the age of Artificial Intelligence, and intelligent tools help computer programmers in many ways, it is still important that programmers understand the syntactical differences between programming languages. I believe the hundreds of small programs available on this site can help programmers and students.
I am not requesting here large donations, and I do not even have the traditional mechanism for donations. But there is a way to make a small indirect donation.
I am an important developer and programmer in the making of a metronome app named BARBARA. You can make a small donation by buying the app, even if you would not need it. The income generated by the app will benefit mostly me.
BARBARA might be a very suitable metronome for computer programmers as it is a programmable metronome. The way how BARBARA plays metronome sounds resembles the way how computers execute instructions.
